Carpet Cleaning

Have you ever noticed that carpet gets dirty faster after it has been cleaned?  Ironic as it may seem, the very same thing that is commonly used to clean carpet can become a magnet to dirt after it dries.  Detergents leave an alkaline residue that will attract more dirt if not rinsed out completely.  The chemicals most commonly used in carpet detergents are phosphates, silicates and carbonates.  All of which are listed as hazardous chemicals. In addition to this, your carpet could be wet for hours or days.  Wet carpet provides one of the best environments for mold, mildew, bacteria and dust mites to grow.

At Classic Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning we use an ALL NATURAL method of carpet cleaning in Putnam – Westchester – Dutchess and Fairfield Counties. We also do upholstery, using plant extracts, minerals and carbonation.  This patented cleaning product contains no man-made chemicals.

Because our cleaning solution is not a detergent, it doesn't leave a sticky residue.  You will find that your carpet feels softer and stays clean longer with our method.  Our method uses 13 times less moisture than messy steam cleaning or shampoo, so carpet is usually dry in about 60 minutes, and you can walk on it immediately.  By greatly reducing the drying time, mold, mildew, bacteria and dust mites have less of a chance to grow back.

Upholstery Cleaning
If you were to slap a cushion of your sofa with your hand, you might be surprised at what flies loose from it.  Most people don't have their upholstery cleaned very often, it at all.  Think of the hours you and your family spend sitting or laying on your upholstery watching television.  If you were to wear the same clothes for that long, do you suppose they would be due for a cleaning? I'm not suggesting that upholstery needs to be cleaned as frequently as clothing, but every year or two would be a good idea.  Remember dust mites love upholstery.  This is also true of mattresses.

In addition to Classic Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning's ALL NATURAL cleaner, we also employ an outstanding grease cutter that breaks down body and pet oils which contribute to premature wearing of the fabric.

The average drying time for upholstery with our method is about 3 hours.

Tile & Grout Cleaning & Sealing
At Classic Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning, our distinctive tile and grout cleaning, sealing and restoration services are designed to enhance and protect your home's health and appearance.

Grout is primarily a mixture of clay and sand.  It's very porous and thus readily soaks up spills and mop water.  It behaves like a dry sponge.  After awhile it can become a breeding ground for biohazards such as mold, mildew and bacteria.  Over time, this process predictably causes discoloration.

Classic Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning's goal, with every client, is to rid grout and tile of these harmful and hazardous elements by using a combination of state-of-the-art equipment, top-of-the-line solutions and good old fashioned "elbow grease."
There is probably no other item in your home that you and your children come in contact with more than your carpet.  Besides walking on it, your children also play on it, and it may not be uncommon for them to put toys in their mouth after rolling them around on it.  Thanks to gravity and the texture of carpet, it is one of the mose likely places in your home to find bacteria, pollen and dust mites.
